Custom Enamel Pin, Santa Catalina Arch

Santa Catalina Arch or now known as the Calle Del Arco (or street of the arch).  Built in 1694 as a secret passageway for the nuns who had taken seclusion vows.  The arch or bridge provided a private way for them to travel back & forth while still honoring their vows ... because they lived on one side & taught on the other.  Within the arch is a hidden bridge that they would use and cannot be seen from the street below.  Today, the arch is an iconic Antigua landmark & on a clear day the Volcán de Agua peeks right through its yellow frame.
